Jodie Soulodre Creative Piano Studio - Douglas Park Area

Jodie Soulodre B.Mus Ed., B.Ed, ARCT, RMT has been teaching beginner to advanced piano students at her home studio for over 25 years. Her teaching style focuses on fundamentals (reading music, technique, theory), practical skills and fostering creativity. A student centered focus develops skills such as playing by ear, improvisation and composition. This approach is especially good for beginners and builds a foundation for a lifetime of playing the piano. Music is for everyone! Highly interactive studio classes are a favourite part of the year. Studio classes have included working with guest musicians such as strings, DJs and even a full band. Christmas and Year End Recitals include a special theme or twist such as presenting student compositions, duets with family members and audience participation. In addition to after school and evenings, lesson times are available in the mid afternoon for adults and homeschoolers. Options are available for adult students to have lessons every two weeks.
